HULL DOWN pits players against each other on a battlefield ruled by armored vehicles. The game aims to incorporate realistic mechanics such as modern fire control systems and detailed damage models, while focusing on being fun to play. Matches are structured to create complex, armored battles that players can easily drop in and out of. Large open maps create many opportunities to manuever, and teams that coordinate and work together will find themselves victorious.
FIRE CONTROL SYSTEMS
Vehicles in HULL DOWN are equipped with realistic, modern fire control systems. Thermal optics, laser rangefinders, cant correction as well as automatic lead and superelevation are all modeled so you can accurately put steel on target.
FIRE SUPPORT & DRONES
Members of support companies can deploy aerial reconnaissance drones that can provide valuable intel to the rest of the team. Platoon leaders can each call in fire support that, when combined with these drones, can yield decisive results.
CREW POSITIONS
Crew members each get their own view of the outside world through their periscopes and optics. If a crew member is knocked out, they won't be able to perform their duty and their optics will be unavailable.
DETAILED DAMAGE MODELS
Each vehicle has its own, 3D damage model with enough fidelity that individual layers of composite arrays are modeled. Shrapnel generated by penetrating shots is simulated and will damage internal and external vehicle modules.
COMPANIES
Armored companies field the strongest armor and firepower. Their roles is to not only protect the less armored vehicles, but also destroy enemies so the infantry can advance.
Mechanized infantry are responsible for capturing and holding objectives, while also wielding weapons that pose a serious threat, even to tanks.
Support companies are vital to repair and resupply their fellow vehicles. They excel at reconnaissance by operating aerial drones.
COMMANDER AI
When the commander is not being controlled, an AI will take over the position, scan for targets and call them out. However, they will only lend a helping hand; you're still the one dictating the pace of engagements.
